The location is fantastic, just moments from the beach, and the pools are impressive for families. Staff are incredibly friendly, and having a rental store for beach gear nearby is a plus. However, the onsen's water felt overly treated, which detracted from the experience a bit.

Recommend it for families

The staff was incredible, speaking a ton of languages, making it easier to communicate. We also loved the onsen experience, especially how relaxing it was to unwind in the hot bath after a full day at the beach.

It wasn't inexpensive , but for what we got, I’d say it was worth it.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Izukyu! Our Japanese-Style Triple Room was spacious and offered stunning ocean views. The beautiful onsen was a highlight for us, especially the outdoor bath. The location was perfect, just steps away from the beach, making it easy for our kids to enjoy the ocean.

It was just an optimal selection for a momentary visit in Shizuoka with good value. The Japanese restaurant had great food, but it was a bit pricey and confusing without guidance on how to eat it. Bring your own coffee if you’re looking for more caffeine options.
